1. take some time to think about how you want to feel this year … this helps you to formulate goals that matter and not just a list of “to do’s”
2. set a timer for 15 minutes and go through one paper pile … stop when the timer goes off
3. check you fridge and pantry and plan to use those items that you have on hand this week
4. update your contacts … schedule time in your calendar to get in touch with those that slipped thru the cracks … delete those that no longer matter
5. make a commitment to yourself that you will plan one fun and new activity each month … decide, plan and then put it on your calendar … it is important to have something to look forward to
6. clean out your computer inbox and commit to keeping it clear … decide to act or delete … and do it now! Don’t let e-mails multiply …if it is something you want to read later then put it in a separate file and schedule time to do it
7. set up your pamper jar and pamper yourself every day … make it a priority because you are worth it
8. create a new mileage log
9. Take a 15 minute walk in nature ... concentrate on your breath.
10. plan your highest priorities for the month … update your planner and to do list
11. take care of all those loose ends from 2010 … let them go if they are no longer a priority
12. add birthdays to your calendar for the year
13. go to bed earlier than usual … make a commitment to yourself to get more sleep
14. clean out your purse or wallet … make a list and copy all important cards and information
