As the saying goes: “energy goes where attention flows,” so in order to move stuck energy or reduce pain just expand your awareness to that area. If it is muscular pain, consciously tighten and then release the muscle while breathing into that area. You will notice a lightening effect with more energy flow.
The same principle applies to stuck mental energy: don’t deny it or resist it. Make a conscious decision to detach from the issue and simply observe what is happening. This neutral position actually opens up space for it to move and dissipate.
Start practicing becoming quiet and present and tuning into your energy. Ground and center yourself; practice conscious breathing. Learn Tai Chi or Qigong … practice yoga … dance … get a massage. Let your mind, body and spirit merge to give you a feeling of peace and bliss.
