His stages of learning were:
Unconsciously incompetent < you don’t know what you don’t know>
Consciously incompetent <realize you don’t know and stay new to learning>
Consciously competent <know for sure>
Unconsciously competent <automatic ability>
My revision would look something like this:
Ignorance is bliss
Beginner’s mind
Mindfulness
Flowing and easy
Do you avoid new thought and prefer to stay with what is most familiar? Are you a seeker and willing to have an open mind? Do you get stuck in a rut and have the attitude that it has always been done this way so why change it? Are you someone who embraces newness, isn’t afraid of looking stupid and loves to conquer challenges? I think we are probably a little of all 4 of these stages, depending on what the task is. I also think we have a tendency to prefer a certain stage overall where we are most at home.
Where do you feel most comfortable in this learning model? What is your life flow process?
