Yes, I'm a romanticist at heart: I watched Diana and Charles' wedding too. It's a world far removed from my reality ... but just like a good book takes me away, I am fascinated by worlds beyond my own.
Just because my innate sense of independence watches in equal parts fascination and horror, it doesn't diminish the fairylike qualities of royalty. I remain hopeful that true love will prevail ... despite the odds. Change comes from within, and maybe these 2 will be able to make that happen.
With all the craziness in the world today ... earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, political unrest, ecomonic disasters ... it was nice to take a few hours out of my life to view something that gives me hope instead of what the powers that be keep trying to elicit: fear. So call me a sentimentalist, but I am much more motivated by love and goodness than evil and doom!
