CAR KEYS: keep your car keys next to your bed as well. If you hear a noise, press the panic button which goes off from anywhere in your house. Chances are, either neighbors will check out the noise or the burglar will flee quickly. It's also good to carry your car keys in a parking lot in case you are mugged … the car alarm will scare the attacker off.
