In order to get what you want from men, you need to have a great "ask." According to Alison Armstrong, there are 4 elements and all 4 are necessary:
1. Say: "I need you to …" <be specific>
2. Tell them: What that looks like is ..." <describe it … we don't use words the same way>
3. Tell them: "This is what this would provide for me" <they are more likely to do it if they know why>
4. Ask them: "What do you need to give me what I need?" … <the answer will surprise you>
I will indeed incorporate these steps the next time I need to ask for something ... thanks Alison!
