I don’t know about you but lately some of my massage clients have been complaining that their skin itches which is pretty common in the winter. My regular clients don’t seem to have the problem and I think it’s because the oils I use help moisturize their skin. Sometimes the problem gets worse because of dry heat so a humidifier helps put moisture back into the air. Another suggestion is to take shorter lukewarm showers and apply moisturizer while your skin is still slightly wet <pat rather than rub dry>. I like using non-scented natural moisturizers in the winter like petroleum jelly and mineral oil <unscented baby oil>. Those are also great for rough feet before putting on socks for bed ... not a particularly sexy look but better than having cheese graters for feet. What kinds of things do you do for dry skin or winter itch?
