![]() A friend sent me a current events quiz and I love testing myself so I took it. I didn't do well by my standards ... but then I don't watch the news so apparently I am not up on current events. Am I missing too much? Who knows. But my result hasn't motivated me to find out the answers or even to figure out which answers I got wrong. This is a complete 180 degree turn from when I was in school and always wanted to find out what everyone else got on the test ... just so I could assure myself I was smarter than they were. I guess I am secure enough in my life now that I don't need to proove myself anymore. <Although I have to admit ... my competitive nature reared its ugly head a bit when most of my friends -- who say they don't watch the news either -- did better than I did>. The results sure burst my little bubble that I was the smart one...ha! Is ignorance truly bliss? I don't consider myself ignorant and I do have moments of blissfulness so who really cares? Why don't you take the quiz and decide for yourself: current events quiz
