We woke up at 5:00 am and drove to the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway <6000+ feet> to see the sunrise. It was cold but absolutely magnificent! Then we drank hot chocolate & had breakfast at the Pisgah Inn - what a view! Took lots of pictures; hiked and laughed a lot … hopefully made memories she will always look back upon and smile. Life is good! Now I just need to come up with something for this year's birthday ...
