The purpose of life is joy, not just growth or proving ourselves worthy. I didn't get that for a long time. We all want to be understood and accepted, and every relationship is there to provide us with a new opportunity to know ourselves. Once we know ourselves then we can accept and love ourselves, which is the ultimate goal and path to joy.
We all have a soul family that reflects back to us who we are based on our vibration, or what I call the "spark." When we are on our spiritual path, the relationships with our soul family will be strong and joyful because their purpose is to be our mirror and to help us grow. When we don't walk our path, life can be frustrating because we can't directly share our life with them and we don't feel understood or loved. If we look back on our life, we see there are many people who have had an impact on it, and we can usually tell the ones with whom we resonated and the lessons they taught us.
Our soul family is like a support group; they know us from previous incarnations and we are drawn to them because we enjoyed each other in a previous life. As we re-enter each lifetime, we make agreements with many different souls based on what we need to learn and what we will give one another. There are many people in our soul family because depending on our free will choices, we may not follow a path where we meet them all. We will not necessarily lead identical lives, but we will have similar ideals, preferences and dreams and will know each other when we meet.
The results of being with our soul family will always be positive in retrospect, even if we cannot see it at the time because of challenges or conflicts that might arise. Our time together can be short or long, but once our vibration changes we have to let go because our karma is complete with them for the time being, even though we may not always get the closure we need. If we are meant to be together, we will reconnect -- the internet is great for that. I believe we have multiple soul mates, each one connecting to a different part of our heart and soul and serving a different purpose in our lives like pieces of a puzzle. Even if we separate for a while as we are tweaking our paths, when we reconnect we find that the love and resonance between us is so strong that space and time cannot change it. When we have similar visions and dreams, and have dealt with most of our life issues, the connection and potential is unlimited. So here's to reconnecting and joyful new creations!
