Make time to enjoy the season: de-clutter your schedule. Get input from your family on what matters most to them and eliminate the rest.
As you decorate, really look at your boxes of holiday stuff. Do you still love it? Have you used it in the last few years? Really consider this and let go of whatever you don’t use this year … take it to goodwill and let someone less fortunate find joy in your generosity. Re-evaluate the items again before you put them back in the boxes. Let go of old linens and clothes that are worn or don’t fit. Reuse old cards as tags for this year’s presents. Donate old toys, books and electronics … especially if new versions are on your wish list.
Make yourself a promise that for everything new that comes your way this season, you will let go of something old. Start the new year with the realization that de-cluttering is an ongoing choice you make to continue to have room for new delights that may come your way in the future! Let this sense of peace and order permeate your world.
