When my first child was born, I wrote something about his day in a calendar every day for 6 years. When my next son came along, I wrote in his for awhile as well. Unfortunately by the time my daughter came along ten years later, I was out of the practice. I’m sure I’ll hear about that whenever she realizes it which hopefully will be a long time away.
There’s even a website www.ohlife.com for an online journal and they will send you an e-mail each night asking you "How did your day go?" You can just reply … even a few sentences about the highlights … and it's saved there instantly on their website. I also love the concept of writing an "ethical will," a record of events, values, hopes, beliefs and sometimes reasons. I’ll write more about that in a future post. In the meantime, I will keep blogging and I wish you happy times with your own creative self.
