A lot of my friends in the last few months have tried the HCG diet. Some of them have been able to keep the weight off; some have had less success. I have been considering doing it but the jury is still out on that. I am very drawn to the diet since it shows you immediate, dramatic results. The downside is giving yourself the daily shot or taking it internally 6 times a day, neither of which appeals to me. Another drawback for me is the inability to put any oils or creams on your body during this process: I obviously would not be able to either give or receive massage during this time, or even put moisturizer on my face. A good friend has said that it is more difficult as an outsider looking in, compared to the reality of actually doing it. I’ll take her word for it.
Anyway, since I have never even attempted to give anything up for Lent in my adult life, I am a little fearful of my ability to succeed. I decided I would give up a few things: carbs, sugar and dairy. No easy feat for me but I am taking it one day at a time. I always go for overkill which might be my downfall. My decision is to integrate all the tools at my disposal: my rife machine, tapping, rebounder, essential oils and affirmations. When tempted, I will choose redirection with lots of choice available. I intend to make a mind movie on health and vitality which will be another option.
In the meantime: wish me luck in my quest of enLIGHTenment for Lent by integrating all the tools in my toolbox. 40 days and 40 nights … wow … seems like a long time from this end of the journey! Looking forward to hopping a little more lightly with the Easter bunny in April …
