Get a pad of paper and a pencil or a blue or black pen … write down the lies you tell yourself in each category ... the more you put down the better you are <you'll feel like crap as you do this but don't let it scare you> … after each lie skip 4 lines …
Then when you have written everything down about what you feel bad about yourself, take your red pen and write the truth in red <phrased positively> in the four blank lines below each lie ... even if you can't believe it yet!
The for the next week ... every day … read the lie and the truth …
On the 7th day … erase or cross out all the lies… only the red truth will remain <this is an NLP process because the red will stand out more than the black or blue>.
Not only is this a great process for you to do, but I think it would also we great to do with your kids because they have mind chatter as well. Wouldn't it be great to give them a process to handle all those doubts about growing up? I'm definitely going to do it with my daughter this weekend ... if she'll indulge me!
