As the winter continues, we all face the doldrums in February … maybe even to the extreme of SAD <seasonal affective disorder>. We spend less time outdoors and more time inside hunkering down. This would be great if we could relax in our space but many times we feel like the walls are closing in on us because of all our stuff, which slows down the flow of energy. Do you feel claustrophobic in your own home? Let your house breathe … declutter it! Find a spot in your house and create some space there so that it is your “go to” place when you want to nurture yourself. Make a promise to yourself that once it is uncluttered you will keep it that way. Make it a welcoming spot with a few of your favorite things. Maybe a candle … a journal … some music … a comfortable place to sit. Look around your house … what space can you clear out for your peaceful refuge?
