I have to admit I am probably the only one on the planet who didn't watch Oprah over the course of the last 25 years. I knew she was doing good work ... but I didn't want to add that to my list of "must watch TV" every week. I am sure I missed out on a lot but I believe we were on a parallel course and hopefully I didn't miss out on too much. Ironically, if I were asked who is the person I would most like to spend some time with, she is probably the person I would choose.
In her last show, she said her greatest lesson learned was gratitude. I am grateful to her for all of those whose world was expanded because of her efforts. I am grateful to her for opening up people's awareness and sharing her love of humanity.
It's now our turn to learn and lead by her example: to share what we know with others ... to have the courage to be who we were meant to be ... to stand up for what we believe. It's our turn to ask the questions that need to be asked so we don't stay in darkness.
